Nelson
& Rennae de Freitas
Since
1993, the de Freitas family [Nelson, Rennae, Troy (16), Alexander
(13), Nicolas (8), and Marcus (6)] has served in the Dominican
Republic. Their ministry has included work with the National Sunday
School department, church construction,
compassion ministries, Bible School, missions, as well as teaching
and preaching.
However, their main passion and focus is reaching youth and children
through the ministry of King’s Castle. King’s Castle is forming
disciples with
a missionary vision to reach
children and youth to the Lord.
They are currently developing CIMA
del Rey, the King’s Castle Ministry Center. In
keeping with this missionary focus, Quisqueya Master’s Commission
began their inaugural year of classes in April 2005. There is also
great enthusiasm as God is giving these young people a missionary
vision. The goal is to see God use these youth in missions by both
sending and going as full-time missionaries around the world.
We are so grateful to so many who responded to
our urgent appeal as our deadline was approaching. We did return to
the Dominican Republic on August 20th, 2008 for our fourth term of
missionary service, but still with a budget shortfall of $800
monthly. We decided that we could no longer postpone our return to
the field with all the ministries that we left behind for 14 months
while itinerating in the United States.
With that
said, we still need your help. Click the
links at the bottom of this page to make an online contribution or
